What is the Twin Counties Partnership for Healthier Communities?
The Partnership is a network of like-minded people working together proactively and strategically to promote and support a community culture of health, wellness and unity in the Twin Counties of Nash and Edgecombe, North Carolina.

Vision
Through an engaged and empowered network of groups and individuals, the Partnership creates and promotes opportunities to improve health and well-being in our communities.

Mission
The Twin Counties Partnership serves as a collaborative network of community partners to share information and ideas, develop collective approaches for addressing identified health issues, and promote and implement a culture of health through successful initiatives.

 

Work Groups

The Partnership has three work groups which spearhead implementation of a multi-year action plan. These groups are composed of member agency representatives.

Active Living

This work group focuses on increasing awareness of and promoting safe physical activity and recreation opportunities for all adults and youth in the Twin Counties.

Physical and Behavioral Health

This work group focuses on the reduction of stigma around mental health and provides awareness about the affordable, high quality physical and behavioral health care services throughout Edgecombe and Nash counties.

  • Community Conversations: Mental Health Awareness Event

Become a Member

Our members are a diverse group of organizations dedicated to supporting health in Nash and Edgecombe counties. Members participate in events and quarterly meetings of the Twin Counties Partnership.  

The Partnership seeks a commitment cross-agency efforts that share learning and resources to all Twin County residents and promote policy and infrastructure changes so empower residents to live healthier lives.
